So last Saturday was the annual Nottingham Malaysian Games, or simply referred to as Notts.
And it didn't really hit me until the morning itself that it will be my last Notts ever, insyAllah - please God, please let me graduate with a Second Upper at least - seriously how time flew!
I still remember my first Notts back in 2011.
You see, back in First Year I lived like 30 minutes walk away from the Uni area. Our bus was scheduled to leave at 5.30AM so we had to be at the Union by 5AM. I wasn't going to walk all the way from Ranmoor - where I lived - at 4.30AM. So Raema and I decided that it'll be best if we sleepover at Zayana's which was much nearer to the Student Union.
Except, we hardly got any sleep. We were too busy yapping away til 2.30AM and decided not to make ourselves cranky by squeezing in just at maximum an hour of sleep - three girls, one toilet, you do the math - so we stayed up all night. All night.
When we got to the bus, Raema & I was hyper as hell and Zayana was ready to murder someone, okay, murder us. See the thing about me when I don't sleep, I become very weird. Imagine someone stoned/high, yeah that's how I am. My responses become very slow, I laugh a lot, almost at everything actually when I don't get any sleep at all - of course this is the Jolly Happy Sleep Deprived Sya, the one that comes out before the Cranky Bitch Sleep Deprived Sya. God knows what Zayana was saying to us, but I kept laughing and laughing the entire way there, keeping EVERYONE in the bus awake - yes my laughter can be that loud.
Anyways, we arrived at Nottingham and by afternoon I was seriously exhausted already. We found a Starbucks in the Nottingham University's SU, and they have amazing pink couches that became our new best friend. Tanpa segan silu, we fell asleep on the couch. Like proper lying down kind of sleep. Lol. I still remember over hearing the janitor talking to Zayana, "It's a hard life isn't it?" when he saw us, but I couldn't careeeeee. The sofa was Godsend!
Anyways, we slept through most of Notts - we didn't even watch any games, we just ate and slept - and I decided that that will be the first and the last Notts Games for me, because no way in hell am I ever getting on that 5.30AM bus again.
Of course life can never go as I plan, I still ended up in Notts the next two years. I still didn't sleep every night before Notts. I still ended up in the same Starbucks, with the same coffee order, on the same pink couch every year..
First Year
Second Year

Decided to take a picture under the train station's name sign, as a sign to mark the end of a "tradition" of ours.. We may never be in Nottingham ever again! Not for Notts purposes anyways.
#feelingnostalgicjap
p/s: US means Zayana & I, because Raema totally ditched us after the first year of Notts.. Lol.
