19.90

Realising that I have not done a proper "What I Wore" outfit in awhile, I took extra effort in getting dress last weekend.

I had to consciously stop myself from going for my routine "Jeans & t-shirt" weekend outfit. But I was still in no mood to wear shirts (because that's what I wear all week okay guys!) so the t-shirt look stayed. But at least I put on heels instead of my black flip-flops! *peace* Actually the heels was because I always feel like I'm wearing pajamas pants when I wear printed pants, so I didn't wanna feel too lazy.

What I Wore: Shoes from ZARA, Pants from ZARA, t-shirt from Forever21, watch from Daniel Wellington, sunnies from Rayban, and clutch from Balenciaga

I'm currently very into lazy & comfortable outfit on weekends. Being in formal wear 5/7 days of the week makes you feel obligated and responsible so when weekend comes I just wanna feel liberated. Min has this one grey t-shirt that looks so comfy because it's big and baggy yet still presentable, so I asked her where she got it from and she said F21 and told me the price. It was only RM19.90 guys!!!! MAJOR steal! I immediately went and get 3 of it (white, a must, blue and grey, so now I no longer have to wear my boyfriend's t-shirt that I stole and he can have his grey t-shirt again :p)

Graduation Day

I just realised I've not yet shared pictures of my Graduation Day that happened back in July.. My apologies!

My graduation was on the 22nd of July 2014, two days before mother turned 47 years old. So yes you're right if you assumed her birthday present was a piece of paper with my name on it :p

I got up super early that morning while every body else in the house (my parents, brother, aunt and cousin who came all the way from Malaysia to support me, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOUUUUU!) was still asleep because they had to wake up for Sahur and Subuh (God made it easy for me during fasting month while I was in UK, alhamdulillah). By 7.30 I left the house and told Mummy & Daddy (they were the only ones awake) I'll meet them there at the function & to remember to take their tickets that I've left on the table.

One of the last few, if not the last, selfie I took in this lift. :'( #nostalgic

I took a risk by wearing white and wearing pants for my graduation but hey, at least I don't look pantless (which I would've because the robe was HUGE on me..)

What I Wore: Top from Marks & Spencer, pants from I-Really-Have-No-Idea, white court shoes from ZARA.

See what I mean!

After getting cloaked, this was happening A LOT! Fixing the mortar, fixing the sash.. But I quite like our sash, of all the other universities graduating sash.

I mean my robe has a hoodie... how cool is that?! :D I totally felt like the Slytherin I always wanted to be in that.

If I'm not mistaken the event started at 8.30AM.

The picture Kookie took from watching the ceremony on live streaming :')

Post the ceremony was spent taking more pictures (seriously mother was on her roll with her Note).

Unfortunately Raema had a train to Paris to catch, so she's MIA :(

Cik P & I made our way back to school. If you think I walked there.. Hahahahahaha! Memang tak lah!

The hill to school looks like THAT, there's no way I'll make it up there in heels and in one piece.. Either the shoes or me would've been broken..

Seriously, that's at least a 30 degrees inclination, no?! Even Daddy had trouble making sure the car doesn't turun balik :p

Once we were done at the school, we made our way to the church where Pisang & I met. We've always talked about how we HAVE to take a picture in front of the church on graduation day, so both MUST graduate together. We would've taken a photo with Shrimpy at the Stephenson building too, but that girl too cool to wait for us :(

Literally where it all began.

The same spot I was sitting at 3 years ago while waiting for class & this girl suddenly approached me asking if I was Malaysian.

Quote Pisang: "I heard you talking the day before, and then when you exited the class I saw your bag and I immediately knew, 'YES! She's self sponsored too!'" -____-'

So yeah basically that's the only time where Cik Pisang crawled her way into my life, after that it was all just me :p

Our epic "WE FINALLY MADE IT!!!" shot

And what it took to achieved it.. Don't worry, no banana was harmed in the process :p

Also this was us before every shot was taken :p

Seriously, susah okay nak maintain the hat and everything properly -.-

Once we were all happy with the photos, we parted ways and called it a day..

I also made my way to the gift shop and got myself an alumni t-shirt with my name on it! And also for other people.

Like him :*

Third Time

Is it me, or people are just getting married left right and centre these days?

Anyway, when I first got this dress almost a year ago, I still wasn't quite sure where I'll be wearing it to (when I normally buy things, I always have a vision of what to wear it with, when can I wear it and etc. I am a rational shopper!) & when I first wore it to a friend's wedding last December, I had no idea that I'd end up wearing it only to weddings...

The last time I wore this dress for a wedding was for Zawir's brother's wedding last June.

So when I got invited to his cousin's wedding last Sunday and was requested to wear brown (by him, he's obsessed with being matchy-matchy in traditional wear) because he had to, I knew the FV dress had to go out and make its third appearance again (why do I not have other brown wedding-appropriate outfit, I don't know). BUT takkan nak pakai the same thing again right?!

So I texted Min and told her to bring her ND4FV baju kurungs (because I thought of the idea on Friday evening and it's too late to make any purchase from FV for Sunday..) with her when she comes to sleepover the next day.

The black mermaid skirt ended up being too short for the dress (did I not cut the dress short already?! o.o) and I got annoyed even though Min said it was okay for the dress to be showing abit, "macam the lining of the skirt you know!". Soooo, I took a pin and improvised by pinning the hem of the dress a lot higher (up til my knee) so I can walk easily. So proud of my little brilliant fashion emergency solving skill x)

On Sunday after we were done arranging stuff in my room, Min got bored and offered to curl my hair. Decided to accessorise my hair a bit more with my Blair headband and walaaa! The end result :)

What I Wore: Dress from FV for Downy Mystique line, skirt from Nora Danish for Fashion Valet line, headband from Sereni & Shentel, shoes from ZARA.

The wedding itself was beautiful and the food was seriously delicious and it's not because I did not eat the whole day (I was too busy arranging stuff in my room whole "morning" okay! Again no such thing as morning for Min & I). The speech given by the bride's father, which made me teared up, was the highlight of the wedding for me :') Congratulations again to the lovely couple & family!

Plain White Shirt

Have not done a proper outfit post in awhile, I admit, I've been lazy to get snapped, what with bruised lip and all.. But I'm happy to announce, the lip is healed and therefore I shall try to be more rajin with my outfit posts :)

Last night was possibly the last Date Night before Ramadhan, so the plan was to pick him up from work and then head to Pavilion and do a little bit of an overdue wedding gift shopping (I am terrible at delivering my gifts on time), a little window shopping for ourselves (though I did have the cards ready just in case ZARA decided to surprise me), dinner and movie (Transformers! More than meets the eye.. I liked the movie, but quite lengthy on the action side imho).

So naturally knowing that I'm in for a long day I decided to keep it to something comfortable, but you know it is still date night so you gotta look pretty.. This was my initial plan:

Processed with VSCOcam with k1 preset
Batwing shirt from a blogshop I can't remember, I got it aeons ago ; light blue skinny jeans from Primark ; nude lace heels from Bershka ; belt from one of the belted dresses ; York watch from Daniel Wellington ; clutch from Balenciaga and necklace from Instagram: @avenshivegallery (Do check them out guys!)

Initial plan was to belt it to give me some shape but then as I was getting ready, I liked how airy it was sans the belt and it didn't look bad at all, so decided to ditch the belt. End results?

Honestly, I think if it's acceptable to always be seen in the same thing, I'd have an entire wardrobe of white shirts and blue jeans x)

photo 2_2
Close up of my necklace (which was a surprise gift). I love it! Statement necklace + white shirt is another of my favourite combo.

Okay fine, I just love white shirts. Hehe

They're the greater essential in every girl's wardrobe than the Little Black Dress imo.

Recap!

Hellooooo!

So I've been home for about 4 (full) days now? And what have I done so far?

Saturday:

Woke up at 4.30AM & I was super hungry. So I had leftover wedding food (from my cousin's wedding that I juuuust missed last weekend) at 5AM and then stayed awake all the way til about 8ish & headed out for a quick breakfast with Z & his dad. Had half a roti canai (because I promised Mummy I'll eat breakfast at home, because she's making them though by the time I was out she was still rolling in bed -__-) and thought of Cik P. Went back, breakfast by Mummy was still not ready so I went to Bangsar with Zoe to pick up my dress and get some grooming done while waiting. Headed back home, breakfast was finally ready. Gobbled down my food really fast and then followed Daddy to my aunt's house. Stayed there for about a couple of hours possibly, had tea there too. They tried to feed me some kuih with durian.. "Tak rasa punn..." Never will I be tricked that way again! (My grandma was the last person to trick me into eating something with durian, long long time ago.) Headed to my other aunt's house (this time from my dad's side) to visit them and my grandparents who were in town. Made our way back home around 5PM and then I had to help Daddy with his work. By 7.45PM I was already super cranky & annoyed so I decided to take a nap all the way til 8.45PM. About 10 minutes before we were supposed to leave for our movie, I was finally done with Daddy's work! At 10.50PM we, as a family, went to watch Maleficent. Mummy & I being the softies at heart cried, Daddy's achievement was that he did not fall asleep :p Finished the movie and discussed the movie all the way back home in the car. Got home, and ZZZZZZZZ because I've been awake for almost 22 hours.

Sunday:

Woke up at about 9AM possibly? Jet-lag cured! Woohoo! Followed En. Z around to do errands for his brother big day round 2. Got home, headed out to do my hair, first salon visit in mooooooonths! After a 45 minutes hair wash & blow, I was done and made my way back home. Was starving since I didn't eat anything the entire day so I helped myself to two plates of fried rice that Mummy made, alhamdulillah. Got ready after lunch, and reached KL city centre by 3PM only to discover Z wasn't even dressed yet -____-' Buat penat jer I rush macam orang gila getting ready. Waited for the bestman and the lovely couple to get ready and off we went to the reception! :D Have I told you how much I love weddings? It's the littlest things that make my heart go awwww, like the groom calling his bride "my beautiful wife" or someone saying "he married the love of his life" :''') & Then when they play the wedding footage (from previous reception/nikah/pre-wedding shoot), ahhhhh my heart! Sorry lah, I'm a sappy romantic, it's all those years of Hindi movies okay! Stayed for both day & night reception. By the time I got home around midnight, I told Kookie, "Kookie, kita nak kahwin lari jer boleh tak? Bawak Daddy jer as wali" because I was so tired x.x & That was just me who barely did any prep for it, can't imagine what the family and the couple felt like..

Monday:

Monday was a pretty chilled day for me, I laaaaike. Spent the day mostly at home with a couple of times going out either to get food or errands with Z. I think I slept the most on this day, because I woke up at 9AM, then I napped between 3 - 4.30PM (1.5 is a nap for me okay! Anything short of 2 hours I consider it as a nap :P) and I slept somemore from 8 - 11PM and then I slept again by 3AM. Don't give me that judgy eye.... I had a long weekend!

Tuesday:

Because I woke considerably late, I had to rush and get ready to go out for lunch with Z at 12.15. Had lunch, ahh how I've missed eating meat with my pizza, now all I need is some carbonara to settle my Italian craving. He then had to buy socks (of all things to buy during office hours..) and I made my way home after that. Chilled, literally, at home with lots and lots of water and staying in an air-conditioned room all the time because I was already feeling sick.. God, please send some rain down in Malaysia! :( By 5.30PM, Mummy asked me to help her cook, much to my dismay at first. I mean, orang tengah kepanasan nih you nak suruh I duduk dekat dapur?! x.x But to my surprise the dapur was actually quite cooling.. I was in charged of cutting and stirring stuff..

Mummy: I thought you pandai masak? Kenapa so slow sangat potong?

Me: .. Because this is not MY knife.. I'm not used to this knife. You see why I wanna bring back all my knives and pots and pans?

--

Me: You tak blend dulu ker all the bawang and stuff?

Mummy: No...? Why would I? Ai, dah 3 tahun, takkan you still don't know how to cook?

Me: Excuse me.. I do know okay, cuma I normally blend every bawang I use because otherwise I don't eat them..

You wait til I am reunited with my pots, pans and knife Mummy! Then I'll show you my cooking skills.. *rolls up sleeves*

Had dinner consisting mainly the prawns that I fried myself and then I was out of the house for a quick movie date. Watched How To Train Your Dragon 2, and I cried again in the movies. Seriously, my tear ducts are leaking.. After the movie, because we were both hungry we decided to get Ramly burger, muahahaha >) I is very happy :3 Got home and slept soon after.

Literally my outfit of the day: IMG_2088

Shirt from Dorothy Perkins, jeans from Primark, shoes from ZARA, watch from Daniel Wellington, bag from Sometime (Vivy Yusof's Sofina 2.1), sunnies from Rayban.

Never felt like I was a Brazilian supporter more in my life..

Which I'm not by the way! Viva la Espana forevs!

If only I can stay awake long enough to actually catch the game..

So yeah, that's what I've been up to the last 4 days. As for today, I have a lunch date, I'm supposed to take Kookie out to do errands with her and then I really have no idea what else I'm doing.. Ahhhh, the carefree-ness of summer holidays.. I admit though, I still get some guilty pangs sometime for not touching a textbook. #postexamtrauma

Dinner & Dance 2014

Since my exams are in 6 weeks, I am spending most of my days at home with my books/laptop. Therefore, less/no chance of OOTDs :( Booo!

Anyways, found an (not so) old outfit I wore that I've not post about.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Outfit for MASSOC's Dinner & Dance: Top from ASOS, "skirt" was actually a dress from ZARA but I didn't like the top bit so I decided to snip the straps of the top off and tuck it in and make it into a skirt (see the zipper is at the side is joined to the top and skirt part, therefore I can't just snip off the top entirely cause the zipper would still need to be there...), shoes from ZARA (the nude twin of the demon heels.. This is less/not-at-all demonic. It's actually one of my favourite) and watch from Daniel Wellington with the Sheffield (black) strap on :)

More pictures from Dinner and Dance to follow soon! But here's a snippet (of moi of course :P):

P/S: This top is going against my new "let's wear less revealing outfit" resolution... It has got to go.. Soon.. It's really pretty okay! It's really hard to part with.. But I have given away some of my "revealing" clothes already.. Shall set up a post of things I wanna sell-off/give away soon!

Well.. Hopefully soon.. If not in June.

A Day in Demon Heels

The road to employment is not an easy road. Not for me at least. Literally.

Last Sunday (yesterday) was the UKEC-Graduan Career Fair, and I along with thousand other hopeful student were in town hoping to finalise our job after graduation.

So like I made my way from Southwark to Lancaster Gate at 9.30AM, only to discover that the part Jubilee line was under construction.. So I only managed to get from Southwark to Waterloo station (which is only a stop away..) using the line. Had to change to Northern Line (could've just done that at Southwark station) to get to Tottenham Court Road to change to Central line to get to Lancaster Gate. AND MY GOODNESS BAPAK JAUH LAH RIGHT TO CHANGE FROM JUBILEE LINE TO NORTHERN LINE -____-' And I was wearing heels and carrying my overnight bag along with my handbag.. Haih. Contemplated on changing to my flats, but I figured "No, shall not waste more time. Suck it up woman! You can shop in heels, you can bloody well walk in heels to get a job". Okayy...

Anyways, got to Lancaster Gate, left my bag at Pisang's place and made our way to Lancaster Hotel.

Career Fair went okie dokie, and then it's time to catch my train back at 5.35PM.. Onlyy.... I did not have my train ticket with me (because I am an idiot who left it at Farm's). Farm was trying to get them to me in time, and I have to say this..

You know that scene in the movies when the guy is trying to get to the girl before she boards a plane/train to leave town? And then the guy would scream the other girl's name and it's all dramatic and blahblah?

Jyeah, I had EXACTLY that going on for me, except with Farm. Hahahahaha.

I felt like I was in a Bollywood movie, and my life for that moment was complete. Lol.

Anyways, making my way down to London again tomorrow (for an interview) and no more heels! Or at least not til I reach the office x)

What I Wore: Shirt from ZARA, slacks from ASOS, demon heels (yes cause they gave me so much blisters) from ZARA (surprisingly).

Only because the second picture showed me little butt in the mirror reflection. New favourite work pants!

Omg.. I have favourite work pants...

Skants

I am not a terrible blogger.. I am not a terrible blogger! :'( Okay I am.. I AM SORRY I REALLY AM! Everyday I check my visitors and I'm like "I'm sorry to disappoint you guys, but today will be another no-update day".. HEHE *peace* #pleasedontleaveme
ANYWAYS!

Went for a friend's surprise birthday dinner last night and omg, I'm so excited I got to do OOTD again! :D The thing is, when I'm in UK, 99/100 times, I'm always in a jacket, and the jacket is almost always the same jacket.. So like I don't even bother taking an outfit picture because well, it's always the ZARA/H&M jacket anyways. But now that Spring is here, and the weather has been more or less lovely, I'll tryyyy to do more OOTDs here okay?
photo 2

What I Wore: White shirt from Dorothy Perkins, orange skirt-pants (skants?) from ZARA, nude heels from ZARA and belt from one of the dresses that comes with a belt from ASOS.

Funny story about how I found out about what/who was I wearing, so one of Ash's friend from Durham came down to visit and naturally she wouldn't know about how probably half of my wardrobe is filled with ZARA's stuff, so first she saw my shoes and asked if it's from ZARA cause she noticed it (I like her right there and there.. Her love for ZARA is like mineeeeeee! "Have you seen the new stuff for the season?!" "OMG YEAAAAAAAH :D" Lol she probably spent the same amount of time I do on the website too, hehe. Oh & her bag was from ZARA too! Me likey!) then she realised I wasn't wearing a skirt and it's another ZARA item..

Sylvia: Are your pants from ZARA too?

Banana: Yeahp. Everything on her is probably from ZARA..

Which then I realise, hey I MIGHT just be (because I have lots of white shirt, I don't know which is from where anymore without having to check for label). So then I told Banana to check my label for me,

Banana: Oh no wait. The shirt is from Dorothy Perkins.. Not bad Aisya.. You finally branched out!

Hehe, okay no more white shirt (yes Mummy, I hear ya...).

photo 3

Closer to real life colour of the pants. I swear it's orange, not pink. Though I do have the pink one, at home in KL. Which I've not worn yet.. And a nude one here in Sheffield with me.. Which I sometimes use as sleeping pants (THESE PANTS ARE MAD COMFORTABLE OKAY!).. And you know what guys, the best part of it all is that.. I got the orange and the nude one only for £9!!! :D #ILoveZARAsales

photo 4

I apologise for the poor quality of the photos. Smarty pants me forgot to put the memory card in the camera.. Hehe x) (This is why I need to upgrade my phone to a phone with a better camera! :p) Hence why you can see me fiddling with the camera in hopes trying to get it to work even without a memory card.. Which failed as you can guess.

Here Comes The Sun

It was the last day of a sunny week, so naturally it was "I gotta run errands" day. Any excuse to go out really.. :p Okaylah, actually no. I really had to go out, because I ran out of toothpaste and can no longer squeeze the remains of it out... (Been doing for three days.. :p)

At 10.30AM, (through text)

Me: Ash........ Can I borrow toothpaste...? Hehehe 0:)

Ash: AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA! No.

Me: ... :( Is this because you're not my friend?

Ash: Hahaha, yes! Milking every opportunity I get for as long as I can with this..

Well, I guess she no likey ping-pong friend game.. :(

What I Wore: Sweatshirt from ZARA, jeans from Primark, shoes from Chanel, and sunglasses from Ray Ban.

It was also a very windy day! And my mistake for not tying my hair up.. Ended up looking like this at the end of the day:

What I Wore: Coat from ZARA.

Aren't we attractive?! .. I assure you, I own a hairbrush..

Despicable Us

Since Ash's Taste Card expired, our half-priced Sushi Date Night also was discontinued. But being the true Asians that we are, and considering we're students hence bounded by the "student living" rules, we found a new way to get back half-priced sushi!

So Sushi Date Night was back in full-swing last Thursday night, whooopie! I was so excited for my prawn katsu kare :3 I had the order all memorised in my head. EXCEPT! We have been away THAT long (padahal it has only been 3-4 months?) that they not only removed the ebi katsu from the menu, they also increased their price!

"Maybe you were the only person who ever orders the prawn katsu and since you stopped coming here, they discontinued it!"

Well then continue it back! >( I wasn't in the mood to make a special request that night, so I settled for prawn tempura and salmon teriyaki with a side of inari.

Processed with VSCOcam with s3 preset

I swear I underestimate the power of salmon all the time. I keep forgetting just how filing a fillet portion of salmon can be. I had to eat my inari really slowly because I was already full with the salmon & the tempura. But it was good food nevertheless; the tempura wasn't as amazing as the prawn katsu would've been, but the salmon was the saving grace.

While waiting for Ash's dessert (her typical black sesame ice cream. As Banana puts it, we really are creatures of habit, because our orders are always so standard..) we decided to take photos to remember "The Return of Sushi Date Night" by.

IMG_0675

Photo of the night! Hahahahahaha!

See, we play this game called "The Friend Ping Pong" game where whenever one of us says/does anything stupid, she'll basically get toss around between the other two. For example, if A does anything stupid, B can say to C "you're friend!" making C responsible in dealing with A from there onwards. C can also do it to B, if C beats B to it. The game resets itself the next time someone says anything stupid.

Most of the time Ash is always Banana's friend because I'm really good at this game. Muahahaha. And Ash is normally the "ping pong ball" because well, she's Ashley :p

I love you Ash, I do, but no you're still Zayana's friend. :p

So before she beats me to it, SHE'S YOUR FRIEND BANANA. YOUR FRIEND. HA.

Okay, moving on with the night..

Before we left the hours Ash said we should "dress up", again to remember the night by. 15 minutes later, we came out from our rooms looking like this:

Processed with VSCOcam with s3 preset

Instantaneously with my yellow shirt & blue jeans combo, I looked like a Minion. And then it hit us, we were this:

Ahahahahaha, aren't we the coolest? ;)
