Cowboy on a Donkey (They exist!)

I'm not exactly the brightest lightbulb out there.. But 9/10 times I am on point & I do get things right!

Okay..  Maybe 7 out of 10 times...

Final Battle

Sorry guys, but I have to go on a social media(probably not Instagram, it's just so easy to "like" stuff! & Pretty pictures of food, how can I say no to?!)/blogging hiatus til June 7th 2014.

This is like the last of the final exams for me. 15 years of studies (from Primary school til now) and it all comes down to this last stretch.. Bismillahirahmanirahim.

Wish me luck!

& Don't forget me in your prayers!!

Remember, “Whoever prays for his brother behind his back has an angel saying to him, ‘And for you the same’.”

So yeah, pray for me good things and an Angel will pray the same for you :)

Til then, xoxo.

Demanding

Guys! Did you guys know, I am also now Cik Pisang's future Dulang Girls?! :D WE HAVE REACHED A WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF OUR FRIENDSHIP! Muahahahahaha, you'll never be rid of me Pisang :p

This was how she asked me to be her Dulang Girls:

IMG_1157
Okay, fine.. She didn't exactly ASK. She just assumed I'd do it.. For free..

Hahahahahaha! Memang tak lah!

I made my demands kalau dia nak I jadi her Dulang Girls. WHAT?! I'm not being ridiculous! You should hear HER demands if I were to just GET MARRIED... -___-

"You kahwin dengan (insertname) I nak Chanela. If you kahwin dengan (insertanothername), I nak something from the orange store. Tapi kalau you kahwin dengan (insertthirdname) I nak a Bottega clutch"..

TAK KER DEMANDING TUH?! #sorrypotentialfuturehusband #ipromiseibayarseparuh

Anyways, my demands weren't as bad as hers. I mintak Louboutin or Blahnik jer sepasang 0:) I baik. No matter who she marries, I shall willingly angkat her crazy heavy dulang provided she give me shoes along with the wedding invitation or the "Will You Be My Bridesmaid" card or whatever you people do to tell someone you're one of her bridesmaid.. #idontknow #ibelumkahwinlagi!

As usual, Banana is a difficult person -___-' She thought IIIII was being too demanding.. Urr hello? Check balik your demands dekat atas tuh? She claimed she'd do anything for my wedding. Her demands are just simply gifts for "putting up with me" throughout University.. Yes, instead of getting me a wedding present, I'd have to get HER a wedding present... See what IIIII put up with?! -_______-'

#futurebridezillaalert *peace*

But anyways, I was adamant on making sure my demands will be fulfilled.

2.44PM Realisation

Today is my second last day in Malaysia before I head back to UK for the "Final Battle" and you know what guys?!

I've not stepped into the hair salon AT ALL this time.

I'm under a "No cutting your hair, not even for a trim" rule until my (insyAllah) graduation. Which is a few days before Raya, and well, we all know you never cut your hair so close to a big event, means my hair is going to be cut only after Raya..

Dear God, please let me graduate this July with 2.1 Degree.

Dear God, please don't give me split ends too!

...

Maybe I should head to the salon now with my iPad and sit there while they wash & blow my hair, for old time sakes.. Should I?

Once Upon A Dinner

Realised I've not blogged MASSOC's Dinner & Dance.. It was a very busy week that week. But I had fun at the dinner, simply because it was Disney-themed. I am so easily pleased. Anything Disney & I'm sold.

I wanted to bring out my Maleficent headband, I was already wearing it, but Shin & Ashley said I looked weird.. -____-' Shouldn't have given two hoots about what they said, but I caved in to "peer pressure" anyways and left my headband at home :(

Anyways, sat at the Frozen themed table and I made a new friend! :D As you guys know, I met Olaf. Olaf is currently in my room in UK with my Mushu. Elok lah tuh, fire & ice together :p

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
So basically this was me the entire night: I would hold Olaf and take pictures with it/put it in pictures with me at every opportunity I get. After awhile people got sick of it and they were telling me, "you'll be gone for awhile and when you come back to this table, Olaf will no longer be here!" or "I am going to steal him away from you"...

Why can't you let me live in peace?! :(

Back to about DnD. The event started with a Disney belly dance performance.. Basically belly dancers were dancing to Disney songs that are remixed or edited to suit the type of dance. If I'm not mistaken they performed to Under the Sea and A Whole New World. There were other songs too, but can't remember.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

After that it was my favourite time: Dinner time! :D They played "Be Our Guest" while the food was serving... HOW GENIUS?! *claps*

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I forgot what soup it was, but it was delicious! :D Though I had to add in a little bit of salt but heh, still works :)

The main course & dessert I had was so-so (hence no pictures also partly because I was too lazy to take food pictures already).

In between courses they played some games, namely for King & Queen and Best Dresses. They also had a competition for the entire table? Basically each table is to send a representative and these poor unfortunate souls had to go to all the other tables and collect a token from each table. In order for you to get this token you had to do anything they (the people at the tables) asked you to do.. The first to come back with all the tokens wins!

So guess who got chosen to represent the people of Arendelle? Mhmmm, ME!

The first thing I did after I heard the rules was to go back to my table.

Them: What are you doing here?! GOOOO!

Me: IF YOU GUYS GIVE MY OLAF AWAY, I WILL KILL YOU >( DO NOT GIVE HIM AWAY! NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO! >(

Hehehe. After that I went off to do my business. Among some of the things I had to do was:

  • Run around the stage going "Be-do, be-do, be-do" like the Minion. (Thank you for letting me accomplish this at least once in my life! :D)

  • Dance to the Ketchup song. (Pffft, I do this almost every month in the comfort of my own room.. :P)

  • Finish someone's leftover cake. (Thank you for feeding me!)

  • Sing Negaraku. (I'm sorry you people had to endure my bad singing!!)

One table was actually nice enough to just give me a token without asking me to do anything. Thank you, love you guys! *kisses*

The other people were rather unfortunate.. Someone had to put on a sea-shell bikini, two of the guys had to take off 3 clothing items and then kiss each other.. At one point people were screaming one after another (don't know what's that about.. I was too busy minding my own business.. My strategy was if one table is busy with someone else, go to another table and come back later).

Smart eh? ;)

My strategy worked! Because I won! :D

Banana Leaf & Waffles

Meet my group of friends that has seen me grow since I was a barely even 5 feet tall (in primary school), then through my tranny-looking years (I was waaaay too skinny with strong jawline/cheekbones & I was really, really dark.. The "good" cheerleading days..) up til now:

IMG_1176

When we were in primary school, we would have this "Chat Book" where we'd pass around each other and just basically have our own "chat room".. It was cool okay back then! I think..

And then we separated a bit during high school with me going to a different school than most of my primary school mates, and then Ili went to boarding school after PMR.. </3 But before she left, she matched me up with my high school boyfriend. Unfortunately (for Ili), we broke up so Ili can't claim the spot of being my bridesmaid :p

Fast forward a bit to current time, despite being in different continents, going to different universities, we still manage to catch up whenever I'm back in town. & Our classic routine is always: Banana leaf & Daily Grind's waffle.

It's always a good time catching up with them, because they like to eat and they like to talk. Two things I like in people!

"You know, I went to her wedding and everybody was crying and I was crying too.. Tapi orang lain nangis tears of joy, I wasn't crying for joy, I was sad! 'There goes their freedom!'"

Last Thursday it was another date for us (padahal baru jer jumpa 4 hari sebelum tuh.. Why are my friends all so clingy? o.o). Normally it's just the three of us, but this time we brought extra guests ;) And then Ili & I ended up 3rd wheeling together.. -___-

So we decided to ignore the couple and do our own business..

Dinner & Dance 2014

Since my exams are in 6 weeks, I am spending most of my days at home with my books/laptop. Therefore, less/no chance of OOTDs :( Booo!

Anyways, found an (not so) old outfit I wore that I've not post about.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Outfit for MASSOC's Dinner & Dance: Top from ASOS, "skirt" was actually a dress from ZARA but I didn't like the top bit so I decided to snip the straps of the top off and tuck it in and make it into a skirt (see the zipper is at the side is joined to the top and skirt part, therefore I can't just snip off the top entirely cause the zipper would still need to be there...), shoes from ZARA (the nude twin of the demon heels.. This is less/not-at-all demonic. It's actually one of my favourite) and watch from Daniel Wellington with the Sheffield (black) strap on :)

More pictures from Dinner and Dance to follow soon! But here's a snippet (of moi of course :P):

Well.. Hopefully soon.. If not in June.

S&S Biggest Fan 2014

About a week ago, as I was getting ready for my big interviews in London I got a tag from Sereni & Shentel on Instagram.

Screen Shot 2014-04-12 at 13.35.43

I won third place for the Sereni & Shentel Biggest Fan 2014 photo competition!

(Which would explain why my Instagram at one point was filled with photos of me in headbands...)

It was a lovely way to kick start a big day for me. Alhamdulillah :) So what I won was RM500 to spend on Sereni & Shentel. In other words, free headbands! :D Woohoo!

Now I know I said my headbands collection is complete, but it is free headbands, why waste right? So I went on to order my headbands the following day.

Fast forward 10 days later, this morning I woke up to a call from the delivery people. Which resulted in me screaming at them (because seriously, you do not wake me up and ask me the same questions over and over again and then ask me a stupid question BEFORE 9.30AM! #notamorningperson #tooearlyforidiots)

First Person: Hello, Miss Aisya, can I have the landmark near your house?

Me: (gives possible nearest landmark)

First Person: We cannot find your street on the map..

Me: Try googling this street..

First Person: Oh you mean you gave us your wrong address?

Me: No, I gave you the right address but my street is near the street I just gave you.. It's literally just to the right of that street..

First Person: Can you give us the new address?

Me: -_____________________- (gives address)

First Person: Still cannot find it lah Mam, kejap I pass you to someone else

Second Person: Kak, bagi address balik Kak?

Me: .... (Gives address)

Second Person: Landmark paling dekat apa eh Kak?

Me: ...... (Gives landmark)

Second Person: Takde pun Kak.. Repeat balik address..

Me: (Bagi address lagi sekali.. -____-)

Second: Kak, bagi address cantik sikit boleh tak? Tak jumpa lah kak the street

Me: .... YOU NAK I CANTIKKAN ADDRESS I MACAM MANA?! DAH ADDRESS I MEMANG MACAM TUH!!! -___________-"

Third Person: Kak. Betul eh this address (reads address)

Me: Yes.

Third Person: Ohh okay. Is it near (said landmark)

Me: Yeesss...

Third Person: So kiri kalau we're from (insert location) we turn left kan?

Me: Ha, betul.

Third Person: Ahh okay Kak. Kejap lagi kiteorg hantar barang.

Me: Okay, thank you.

See I know I have quite a high level of tolerance for idiots and annoying people (as I am one of those people too :p) but seriously, I have my limits too okay! #iamonlyhuman

Anyways, received my parcels and tore the wrapping off straight away :3

Processed with VSCOcam with c2 preset

Hehehe *peace*

Mummy: Hahahaha! What did they give you?!

Me: Hehe I chose these. It's free.. See, if I had to pay for it I would've hesitated but then you know since it's free, why noooot.

That was her reaction when she saw the black stripey ones. She was okay with the red stripes and the blue one, a bit on the fence with the polka-dots one.

When I took out the Kuching Cat (the pink bow)...

Mummy: YA. ALLAH. O.O

Me: Hehehehe, the sister won me the headbands okay!

Mummy: What sister?

Me: I have this one in copper/brown which I wore in Disneyland and won the competition for me! :D So this is a tribute to it. Plus, it makes me feel like Minnie :D

Mummy: ... -___-'

Sure.. Maleficent headband she gets, pink bow headband she thinks I'm nuts.. #women -__-'

But whatever, I love them! :D

Thank you Daddy & Mummy for my Paris trip. Thank you Sereni & Shentel for the gorgeous headbands (these and those in my collection)! Tak menang MHSelfie and a trip to Paris, menang headbands pun jadilah.. At least my Paris trip was fruitful in more ways than one..

Too Easy

I am such an easy person. Easy going. Easy to please. Easy to entertain. Just, easy. (I'd like to think I'm just a chill person, so anything goes)

For example, how to get my attention? Just wear something yellow. It's like attracting flies to lights.

Or arrange something according to a colour spectrum. Wahh, most easy way to get me to buy everything.

How to get me to buy something I don't really want? Just be nice to me. I wouldn't have the heart to say no to you. In fact even if I want to buy something but the salesperson is a bitch, I would probably just not buy it (at that time at least).

For example, last night before dinner I thought of having Morelli's for desserts. As usual, after eating I get too full. But then I still had to pass by Morelli's to get to the car. And the attendees were so cheerful I ended up trying 7 flavours.. By then I couldn't say "No I don't want to buy anything, thank you" so I ended up saying "Can I have a scoop please?" x.x

TOO EASY!

In Zayana's words: "If you were a slut, you'd be pregnant by the end of your first week of working -___-".

Pretty/Unpretty

In the midst of procrastinating from packing (seriously, I love going home and all, but I HATE packing. Clothes should just magically fold themselves and walk straight in the bag according to my approval - a nod for "Yes, you get to come home with me" and everything else means "Nothing personal, but you get to stay here in UK". Life would be amazing! #thingsIwouldbuildifIhadthebrainsandmeansforit)

Anyways, saw this article on Facebook about "Why You Should Date A Girl Who Doesn't Need to Wear Make Up" & I thought "Okay, another list to read, let's do this!". I don't know why, I like reading lists (more than articles), whatever the content may be..

According to the article, these are the reasons why & Imma put in my two cents into it (in italics):
This is the appeal of a woman who doesn’t wear makeup:

She’s comfortable in her own skin.

Not necessarily, she might just be lazy. I mean, that's why I don't wear make up. I am lazy; to apply it, to take care of it, to remove it later on.. If it's anything I am forced to be comfortable with looking slightly less than a million bucks when I go out on a daily basis.

She accepts her imperfections.

Forced to accept if I may say so? Sure I like to hid my pimple scars, or maybe my eyebags, and my frackles too while we're at it. But hehhh, applying make-up is too much effort, so lets look like how I look waking up x)

She doesn’t need compliments or flattery to feel worthy.

Okay, I guess this is true. But you know, who would say no to compliments every now and then right?

She’s too busy to take the time to apply eyeliner.

Too busy lazy. Also, I can't apply eyeliner for shizzz.

She’s got good genes.

I got it from my Mama! (& Papa of course. xxxxx)

She’s confident in herself.

That I must admit, I am. But doesn't make a girl with face full of make-up any less confident that I am.

She’s easy to wake up next to.

Hahahahahaha! No. I've been told I look like a lioness upon waking up. *peace*

She’s not worried about her mascara fading.

No. But I do worry about it smudging and the whole process of touching up is a chore. So again, I don't bother.

She travels light.

Hahahahaha! Again. No. That term does not exist in my dictionary. I always pack like I'm moving to a new country or something.

She can go skinny dipping without looking like a raccoon when it comes time to dry off.

Urr, ever heard of waterproof make up?

She’s not always staring at herself in the mirror.

I STILL DO! With or without make-up. As long as there's a mirror, I'll turn and check myself out.. #taktaumalu

She’s accepted her least attractive version of herself.

Because God doesn't make mistakes. <<< What I tell myself to feel better.. Whatever puts me to bed at night right? Oh and who says girls w/o make are less attractive. Some are even more beautiful with less make-up/no make-up okay!

She’s never going to pretend to look like someone else.

In the past I've attempted to look like Blair Waldorf, TinkerBell and blahblahblah. It's called dressing up! Not pretending.. I'm sure those girls with make-up on aren't pretending either.

She’s not scared of what men think of her.

Men schmen. Mehh.

She doesn’t search for acceptance in anyone but herself.

No. I search for my parent's approval.

She doesn’t let her beauty define her.

...

She doesn’t get upset when she’s missing lipstick.

I do actually. Because I don't buy lipsticks often, when I buy them means I really like them.. So of course I do!

She looks her age.

Nope. People have gotten my age wrong.

She doesn’t make you guess what she really looks like.

Yes, you get what you see.

She can get caught off guard and not care.

This is more to confidence than make-up really.

She doesn’t take hours to get ready.

Yes I do. Because I like to laze around x)

She doesn’t spend her money on tubes and compacts.

I do, but they last for years so it's an investment? Hahaha

She’s not worried about smudges and smears.

Because I worry about not getting food on my shirt or face more :p

She can go to the beach and not look like a stranger.

Aisya Amin in a bikini... You'll probably do a double take (like "Nooooo that can be her! Can it? o.O"). So yeah will definitely look like a stranger :p

She finds beauty in the untouched.

And beauty in the "touched"...

She makes people feel comfortable.

Nope. I've been told I can be intimidating at times.

She’s not afraid to show you her true self.

Because I am too lazy to be afraid.

She’s not competitive with other women.

SIAPA CAKAP?! Okay actually wait. No, I'm not competitive but you know I still get intimidated that kind of thing.

She seems simple but has many layers.

Seems simple.. Doubt it :p

------

Anyways. Point is, not everyone who wears make up lacks confidence. Not everyone who doesn't wear make-up thinks they're God's gift to men, some (like me) are just down right lazy (or has no discipline for it).

Yes I agree some girls put too much make-up on, but I think that shows their dedication, to themselves at the very least, more than their lack of self-confidence. I mean seriously, do you know how long it takes to put make-up on? At least an extra 15 minutes of getting-ready time which means less 15 minutes of lazying-around time.. Plus, they're making an effort to make themselves look more presentable. And do you know how hard is it to draw on eye-liner? That is a skill by itself. Plus one appeal points for all these girls who can apply make-up. Another thing, imagine getting a girl who wears make up and when she removes it, she's just as amazing looking as with her make-up on. PLUS 1000 APPEAL POINTS PLEASE.

Also sometimes situation requires you to have some kind of make-up on. I mean going to a formal dinner and you put on a fancy dress, with a bare face.. It's the same of you showing up with jeans and t-shirt jer weih. When you wanna go big, go all the way, or you go home.

But anyways, to each their own. If they're comfortable in their own skin with make-up yay them! They're still appealing (if not to you, there will be others who thinks they are). Let's not boast about our "natural beauty" and demote these hardworking girls who wake up every morning and spend at least 15 minutes improving their appearance.

Putting on make up doesn't make you less perfect, and by not wearing make-up doesn't make you the "perfect girl to date" (as claimed by the article).. I mean come on, I don't wear make up because I'm lazy, not because I take myself too seriously & don't have time to apply make-up, not because I want to demand much more respect because I don't wear make-up. Would you like to date a lazy girl? (If yes, please send in your application to Godblessyoursoul@gmail.com)

Quickie

I am spending/spent most of this week just travelling. Tomorrow insyAllah I will be making my trip to London for the third time in the span of less than 7 days.. Ya Allah, please let my journey be a safe one, aminnnn.

Anyways, regarding my second trip to London...

I left the house about 9.45AM because I had to print my train tickets and take a passport size photo at the station. I was still early even after all that so while waiting to board the train, I had breakfast. Someway somehow it was like I knew that was the only meal I was going to have for the rest of the day until I'm done with my trip because I had a pretty heavy breakfast that morning (which I normally don't). Texted my (extended) family Whatsapp group because well, you can never have too much luck on your side now can you? But of course, it wouldn't be my family without a little trolling once in awhile..

... My mother talks too much sometimes -_-'

Anyways, 2 hours and 10 minutes later I arrived in London and dashed my way to Knightsbridge and then London Bridge. By 6PM I was done, and I had to run to the tube station because my train was at 6.25PM and the train station was 6 minutes tube ride away. .. Another Amazing Race/completely nerve wrecking moment for me.. Thank God this time I was in flats, saved my leg the agony.

Missed my train by 5 minutes and because I had to buy another train ticket and considering I was starving after all I had to go through on that day and the last week and a half, I got myself some Godiva biscuits. Hehe *peace*. To be fair this box of chocolates reminds me of my brother and how we would always fight for the last piece. I was homesick k!

In the train I texted Pisang to check up on her (also because I wanted to order in for dinner and needed someone to order with me to get delivery) because we were apart for a whole day..

Clingy Level: Melampau. *peace*

While I was on the train, this man was sitting in front of me and he was solving a Sudoku puzzle on his newspaper. A not so known fact about me is that I actually like playing Sudoku. I used to have a book of Sudoku puzzles. I learned it from my Dad how to play and we would fight to solve a puzzle sometimes. But most of the time we would sit next to each other solving puzzles after puzzles. It was one of my favourite things to do with my Dad during holidays/family time.

So back to the man, he reached his station but instead of bringing his newspaper with him, he just left it there on the table. So once the train moved again, I took the paper and continued finishing the puzzle :p Whaaat, he was barely half-way through.. Kesian those empty boxes okay! The next thing I knew I finished two puzzles..

Couldn't finish the third/last one because I got motion sickness after that. :(

Reached Sheffield, had dinner with Banana and then slept like a baby til 11AM the next day (today) :D

And that's how my quick trip to London went.
