Extra Clingy Kentang

Zawir went back to US last night(booooooo!), and since he's still in air, my clingy self had to find a temporary substitute.

Bring in Cik P, whom I've been texting the whole day, daripada pagi sampai my I took a nap this evening. She had to listen to me rambling about how someone think I can't fit an XS shirt (excuse you! #rude), about how I think we both have ADHD (she said if so, then I'm more ADHD than her..), about if I've found her a mamak-looking-guy-who-loves-his-grandma, about things I wanted to tell her weeks ago but I forgot cause I got distracted (ADHD signs!), about how I got life advices from NigaHiga (hahahaha!) and the last straw was probably when I told her about how Yasmin steals my blanket every time Min sleeps at mine eventhough at first she'll say "Oh no lah, I don't need the blanket, I tak sejuk" (-____-)  right after I told her about how worried I am about getting scolded for not filling in my timesheet because I've not gotten my work laptop yet.

Cik P: Random..
Me: Cause I just took my blanket. I'm preparing for nap time.
Cik P: What are you bebeling about!!!!!
Me: I'm sorrryyy! I'm like short of one person to hear me rant, so yeah.. I tooooooold you I'm going to be extra clingy when Zawir balik!
& I actually did pre-warn her about my clinginess and my impending sadness..

Maybe it's because she read it before 7AM (when it's just as good as her to not have read it at all..) she forgot..

But you see, I had a practice run with her a few nights ago!
And she laughed after that.. So you know orang tua-tua cakap, if she laughs, she agrees!

You see, she was very well informed! And she agreed to it... No?

If we're in UK right now, this is when I start following her everywhere she goes except the toilet. No wonder you're suggested to get new friends, Cik P... :p

Staying Put

It's weird that it's September and I do not have any planes or trains to catch. I do not have to do "For UK Grocery Shopping", I look at winter jackets now and even if I like it; "When are you going to wear it Aisya Amin?". When I hear people saying they're leaving for UK, a part of me feels sad because I know I won't be going back there for awhile.

I never thought I would miss being in Sheffield, but I do.

I miss having my kitchen next to my room, so if I get hungry in the middle of the night, I can just whip something up for myself. I miss having Tesco 3 minutes walk away from my doorstep. I miss living with my friends and annoying the crap out of Cik Pisang and yelling "Hi Raema!" everytime I accidentally press the "1st Floor" button instead of "Ground" and would have to walk down using the stairs (happens more often than you think..). I miss my own little world :(

And I swear, my body gets sick everytime someone I really sayang is about to leave me. Got sick the day Zoe left, getting sick now that my fat buddy/gaduh buddy/boyfriend and my mother (she's going to India for a work trip, told her that if she gets to see Shah Rukh, I'm not talk to her for a week) are leaving me this week... *HAAAACHUUUUM!* Excuse me..

Diorelly & Chanela Pt. 5

Today I decided to be a nice friend and paid Chanela (a.k.a Pisang) a visit. I also decided to stop by Petronas to get her Vitagen and also isi minyak.

Milo however got another plan for me; it decided to die. The car wouldn't start because the battery was dead. Thankfully I was at Petronas so this couple of dudes helped me jumped start my car, God bless you two and may you guys murah rezeki! So I made my way to Chanela's and spent almost half a day with her.

Then it was time to go home again = time to jump start the car again.

Well..

Question: How many accountants does it take to jumpstart a car?

Apparently more than two. (Three if you count Chanela's elder sister..)

I swear we are such failures with anything to do with cars. We had to Google how to jumpstart a car. And then we thought we were pros and tried to do it ourselves.

..
....

We couldn't even get the hood to open! -_______-'

We had to Youtube how to open a car's hood...

AND WE STILL COULDN'T! *tutup muka*

Hehe, thankfully Cik P's driver came back not long after (lepas we prayed.. Next time guys, sembahyanglah dulu k...) and got my car running in under 5 minutes.

Drove myself back home in 10 minutes and passed my keys to my father to handle the car. (This is the reason why I need guys in my life. Next I need someone to teach me how to change a flat tyre. Just in case. *touch wood*)

But yeah, so that's another adventure of Diorelly & Chanela.. Can you believe, us two bimbs are starting employment soon? Hahahahahahahahahahaaha! I think Diorelly & Chanela deserves their own label on this blog.. Lol.

Third Time

Is it me, or people are just getting married left right and centre these days?

Anyway, when I first got this dress almost a year ago, I still wasn't quite sure where I'll be wearing it to (when I normally buy things, I always have a vision of what to wear it with, when can I wear it and etc. I am a rational shopper!) & when I first wore it to a friend's wedding last December, I had no idea that I'd end up wearing it only to weddings...

The last time I wore this dress for a wedding was for Zawir's brother's wedding last June.

So when I got invited to his cousin's wedding last Sunday and was requested to wear brown (by him, he's obsessed with being matchy-matchy in traditional wear) because he had to, I knew the FV dress had to go out and make its third appearance again (why do I not have other brown wedding-appropriate outfit, I don't know). BUT takkan nak pakai the same thing again right?!

So I texted Min and told her to bring her ND4FV baju kurungs (because I thought of the idea on Friday evening and it's too late to make any purchase from FV for Sunday..) with her when she comes to sleepover the next day.

The black mermaid skirt ended up being too short for the dress (did I not cut the dress short already?! o.o) and I got annoyed even though Min said it was okay for the dress to be showing abit, "macam the lining of the skirt you know!". Soooo, I took a pin and improvised by pinning the hem of the dress a lot higher (up til my knee) so I can walk easily. So proud of my little brilliant fashion emergency solving skill x)

On Sunday after we were done arranging stuff in my room, Min got bored and offered to curl my hair. Decided to accessorise my hair a bit more with my Blair headband and walaaa! The end result :)

What I Wore: Dress from FV for Downy Mystique line, skirt from Nora Danish for Fashion Valet line, headband from Sereni & Shentel, shoes from ZARA.

The wedding itself was beautiful and the food was seriously delicious and it's not because I did not eat the whole day (I was too busy arranging stuff in my room whole "morning" okay! Again no such thing as morning for Min & I). The speech given by the bride's father, which made me teared up, was the highlight of the wedding for me :') Congratulations again to the lovely couple & family!

Clawing My Way Back In

You know how I always go around proclaiming my clinginess to Cik P? Well, it's not for nothing you know..

"Aisya, I gotta be honest with you.. If it weren't for you clawing your way back into my life, we wouldn't be friends anymore" - Cik P. (Disclaimer: or something along those lines.. Hold your horses Pisang, no need go and grab your phone to text me..)

So you see, you see WHY I'm clingy now. I HAVE to be clingy or she's gonna ditch me -___-'

(Though Mummy did tell me that I was born clingy.. On my first night outside her womb, I refused to sleep anywhere else but in her arms. Not even in the cot next to her hospital bed, nope. Nak tidur bawah ketiak Mak jugak! Hehe #clingysincebirth #fact)

Anyways, because now that we're no longer in each other's faces (almost) 24/7, I HAVE to find another way to cement my position in her life.

So...

Le tahdaaaaaaaaaa!

"Now you'll never be rid of me! You bangun jer you nampak muka I terus, muahaha"

This was my Graduation present for Cik P (she got me a necklace with a heart pendant, and claimed that she couldn't find anything round to represent my Potato-ness, but we all know, it's cause she lurvesssss me :p) & I made it clear what's the purpose of the hugeass photo frame. It's huge, it's more than half my height, it IS huge! I was dragging it around in the plastic bag when I first bought it, I couldn't even be bothered to try and lift it.

See, we were supposed to meet up for lunch. I got to our table and then I left claiming that I had to put my phone number in the car just in case I'm blocking someone's car (which was true!). I came back with this huge frame in a Chanel paper bag and Cik P's eyes instantly lighted up (with fear or because of the Chanel bag I dunno :p)
Cik P: Aisya! What is that?!
Me: Hehehehe, THIS is how I claw my way back in your life.
But I don't think it's working you gaissss. She's not texting me 24/7. I don't wake up to her texts. Sometimes she doesn't even reply me for a wholeeee day! :(

I knew it I should've gone with this picture instead for the middle bit..

My katak photo.

Muhahahahaha!

Anyways, I never made it clear to Cik P what each the photo represented, so...

The first row, the picture on the left was from our first year of Uni, while we were waiting for our class in between our 2-3 hours break.

The right photo is a photo of us in our graduation robes in one of our lecture theatres,

The middle photo is a photo of all our Halloweens together.

The second row, on the left is one of our last picture together in Sheffield, in front of our Management School.

On the right is our first ever photo together, after our first lunch together in First Year :')

The middle photo is all of our ICE memories together.

The third row is my favourite! In the middle is the photo of the classic Zayana-Aisya relationship (Zayana is always angry at Aisya or Zayana is always rejected Aisya),

The left photo is actually a photo of me tasting what evil tastes like (seriously, the most sour drink I ever had in my life! Lemon + orange juices, what was I thinking?!) but seriously its just to capture how Zayana always look at me (like I'm some kind of a weirdo..)

And on the right is to show that secretly she loves me (and is capable of giving hugs instead of just hatred looks)

For the last row, the picture on the left was taken on Graduation Day

Versus on the right picture taken after we finished one of our Winter papers and went grocery shopping for the rest of exam season (because who leaves the house during exam season right?!)

And in the middle a picture of our "Nottingham Tradition" started by accident in first year.

Although this picture frame doesn't capture our whole Sheffield experience, but I hope this is enough to remind you Cik P of what we went through since First Year til Final Year (if not pandai-pandai lah you stalk this blog) & that you'll always have me, unfortunately for you :p

p/s: It is no coincidence that this post was posted a few days before your birthday..

UK-Malaysia LDR Round 2!

It's been more than a week since Zoe left and I've been getting random messages like "Sya, how far is ChinaTown?" or "Which detergent do I buy?" lol #myfirstLDRpartnerhasalwaysbeenher

Anyways, rewind back to the day/night she left.

The day she was leaving Min came over in the "morning" (there's no such thing as mornings with us.. Morning = after 12PM at the earliest..) to help me finish Zoe's farewell present. I remember when I was leaving three years ago, the three of them (Zoe, Min & Jenn) gave me a pack of personally decorated "emergency" underwear. They wrote on the card: "For whenever you run out of underwear because you're too lazy to do laundry.." 3 years in UK, never once I used them (& actually ended up buying more underwear whenever I run out of them if I'm too lazy to do laundry :p). Sorry guys, personal hygiene issues, who knew what you guys did with it.. & They gave me the pack moments before I boarded my flight so I had to carry underwears on board -___-' Only God knows what was that Abang Custom thinking..

In return, I gave Zoe a huge ass frame to carry on board, so now we can call it even ;)

Chose to give her this instead because I know how lonely it can be sometimes in UK and it's nice to have things that remind you of home in your room. Told her that if the colour starts to fade then she should let me know and I'll make a new card for her to frame up inside.

Min left for lunch and went straight to Zoe's after we were done. I on the other hand had to take a nap because I was starting to fall sick. I think my body was rejecting the idea of people leaving me & the beginning of LDRs :(

Post dinner I made my way to her house.

We chilled at her house as she was getting ready and finishing up packing her hand luggages. She also finally gave us our farewell gift..

(Rewind back to a couple of days before she was leaving, the day that we were supposed to have lunch in Bangsar)

That night as we were planning the plan for the next day,
Min: What are you doing at Mid Valley? Do you want us to follow you?
Zoe: No lah.. It's okay, I can go alone. I like doing things alone..
Min: But I wanna spend time with youuu! I don't mind following
Me: Yeah, not like I've anything planned anyways. We can follow you then go Bangsar terus.
Zoe: No need lah.. I needa go Maxis also with my Dad pagi anyways.
Me: You go Maxis, then we go to your house, then we go to Mid Valley & Bangsar together then we balik lepak at yours lah?
Zoe: No... It's okay, no need! I'm going Mid Valley to get you all punya farewell gifts anyways!
Me: HAHAHAHA! Why do I feel like that's a lie because once you say that for sure we won't follow you anymore..
Zoe: ...  I'm serious lah!

I was skeptical at first.. But she was serious after all :')

While we were at BV in MPH,

Me: Why are you buying a pack of envelopes bay?
Zoe: Urr.. For notes..

This is why my friends can't plan me a surprise -___-' Cannot lie for shits!

But her letter was so sweet, when I read it after we got home from the airport (she didn't allow us to read it before she leaves) I immediately missed her and texted her.

"I know it's a little crude, but I hope you find a space for it in your room so you'll always have a part of me in your room" - Zoe.

:')

I sent her a picture of this with the message,

"I've always had a little piece of you in my room. The card you made for my birthday years ago followed me even to the UK, in the frame lagi okay! Your card is the only framed up card, ever! :'("

And then I realised she gives me the most inappropriate things -___- A shit-shaped card (literally) and an official "slut" plaque..

Anyways, once she was ready we made our way to the airport. Before we left her Mum said that she thought I was Zoe because we were wearing the same thing & only then we realised that we ARE wearing the same thing, lol.

The "Babysluts" uniform as I'd like to call it.

We had McD at the airport because somehow we were all hungry (I even had 2 chicken McDeluxe!) & not long after it was time to say our goodbyes :'(

Considering that I do this on a yearly basis since the last 3 years, I wasn't as sad because heck, we've done this at least 8 times! -__-' But for some *coughYasmincough*, the waterworks started immediately as they said goodbye.

After an emotional car ride home, Min & I drove back to my house and called it a night once we were all done leaving Zoe messages for her to read once she's landed.

All Or Nothing

I'm addicted to social media. Second thing I do every morning after replying my messages is to check on Instagram. I'd check my Instagram to the last post I saw previously (& if I'm out the whole day.. Well, except when I'm out the whole day, who has time for that?!).

Anyways, upon doing my routine Facebook scroll, I came across this: The Law of "Fuck Yes or No".

Although it's actually an article about advice on dating, I think it should be applicable to everything in your life. Why just stop at dating or relationships (friendships included)?

The Law of “Fuck Yes or No” states that when you want to get involved with someone new, in whatever capacity, they must inspire you to say “Fuck Yes” in order for you to proceed with them.

The Law of “Fuck Yes or No” also states that when you want to get involved with someone new, in whatever capacity, THEY must respond with a “Fuck Yes” in order for you to proceed with them.
This is done to prevent you from being with someone who's not excited to be with you (or to prevent you from being with someone you're not excited to be with = settling).

Now, you tell me, why can't the Law of "Fuck Yes or No" be implied to everything you do in life? Don't just YOLO life, put in some passion in things you do rather than just depending on your adrenaline at that moment. Let it be able to drive you for a long term, rather than just a one time thing.

Why settle in life?
