Is it me, or people are just getting married left right and centre these days?
Anyway, when I first got this dress almost a year ago, I still wasn't quite sure where I'll be wearing it to (when I normally buy things, I always have a vision of what to wear it with, when can I wear it and etc. I am a rational shopper!) & when I first wore it to a friend's wedding last December, I had no idea that I'd end up wearing it only to weddings...
The last time I wore this dress for a wedding was for Zawir's brother's wedding last June.
So when I got invited to his cousin's wedding last Sunday and was requested to wear brown (by him, he's obsessed with being matchy-matchy in traditional wear) because he had to, I knew the FV dress had to go out and make its third appearance again (why do I not have other brown wedding-appropriate outfit, I don't know). BUT takkan nak pakai the same thing again right?!
So I texted Min and told her to bring her ND4FV baju kurungs (because I thought of the idea on Friday evening and it's too late to make any purchase from FV for Sunday..) with her when she comes to sleepover the next day.
The black mermaid skirt ended up being too short for the dress (did I not cut the dress short already?! o.o) and I got annoyed even though Min said it was okay for the dress to be showing abit, "macam the lining of the skirt you know!". Soooo, I took a pin and improvised by pinning the hem of the dress a lot higher (up til my knee) so I can walk easily. So proud of my little brilliant fashion emergency solving skill x)
On Sunday after we were done arranging stuff in my room, Min got bored and offered to curl my hair. Decided to accessorise my hair a bit more with my Blair headband and walaaa! The end result :)
What I Wore: Dress from FV for Downy Mystique line, skirt from Nora Danish for Fashion Valet line, headband from Sereni & Shentel, shoes from ZARA.
The wedding itself was beautiful and the food was seriously delicious and it's not because I did not eat the whole day (I was too busy arranging stuff in my room whole "morning" okay! Again no such thing as morning for Min & I). The speech given by the bride's father, which made me teared up, was the highlight of the wedding for me :') Congratulations again to the lovely couple & family!
