UK 2018

I am so sorry for the delay for the last part of my UK-Spain travelogs but I'll save that for another post (about what I've been up to in the last 1.5 months..).

Anyways!

On the 5th of January, we made our way back to England. And we were quite happy to leave because Seville was getting rather gloomy.. We arrived back in Brighton about late evening and after a slight unpacking (we just grabbed our toiletries) we proceeded to doing what we do best - watch Friends while waiting for dinner to be delivered to us. We had Japanese and for a moment there a I was reminded of the usual E11 Japanese dinner ritual.. #rindu

After dinner, we continue to laze around and eventually fell asleep, note: Best. Sleep. Ever!!

Not for Zoe however as she had to wake up early to fetch Faiz from the train station, and he was arriving at 8am-ish. Zoe tried her best to convince me to follow so we can all go for breakfast afterwards but I am me, I don't wake up before 8, ever - especially on holidays..

Once I did wake up however (some time pass 8ish) I decided to do some light unpacking and repacking while waiting for them to come back (cause they did eventually go went to grab some light breakfast - they came back with like croissants and some other pastries #beggarscantbechoosers)

Ever since Zoe showed me one of her specs casing that she said she got from a museum, I've been obsessed in finding pretty casings like these and when I found them almost at every touristy spot in Seville & Granda - I just had to get them.. I know 4 seems a little bit extreme, but trust me, within minutes of arriving home and unpacking, I lost half of it to mother.. (and this was on top of the Kindle cover, some coasters, and lipsticks that I got for her.. #birthdaypresentsettle)

Once I heard voices I made my way downstairs and we had our breakfast together with our mug of Milo each, courtesy of Ms. Chia hehe.

Faiz brought his huge camera for "photoshoot" katanya, but honestly we both wanted to have a day of not rushing anywhere and just chill.. So he had a "photoshoot" of us dengan tak mandinya and quite literally with our "bed hair"s ...

(Faiz and I also were having a competition of who edits better - #instagrammerproblems; I'd like to say I win by % cause Faiz cheated as he has 4 accounts and he used them all to like his own photo...)

I also would like to prove that I take better photos than he does too!

Faiz's attempt ... Apa nih?

My attempt - I told him where to stand, where to look (that facial expression was to tahan sejuk.. It was freezing guys)

Faiz kept challenging me (you can just tell this guy taknak kalah)
"Aisya, I'd give you 1k in GBP if you swim in the ocean now.."
"No thank you"
"Okay, takyah swim, just stand in the water for like 10 seconds"
"Hrmm..... Sokaylah, I need my feet more than I need the money"

But seriously, I think I'd have gotten severe hypothermia even but just dipping my toes in the ocean that morning..

Anyways, as I had a parcel waiting for me (I ordered the Maleficent clutch) and Zoe had a hair appointment, Faiz had no choice but to stay at home with me while I took my own sweet time getting ready - I even had the time to recolour my nails guys as I was furiously finding out where could've my parcel gone to and how to get it back.. (basically I forgot to put in the Flat Number in the address, but I emailed them and they were having issues with their email so they couldn't amend the address before sending it out therefore the postman didn't know which house to knock on and they redirected my parcel to some post office but because it was a Saturday means no post office is open for me to pick it up and Zoe's not gonna be in Brighton for quite sometime.. The solution was - reorder.. As even with Express Delivery I won't be able to get it before my flight back next Monday, I had to send it to Megat for him to bring it back to Malaysia two days after I arrive in KL #panjangceritaclutchnih)

Thankfully Faiz was a self-entertaining guy, plus he's always so busy anyways he didn't care. By the time I was ready, he was getting restless and running out of things to do with his phone/ laptop also so we headed out to town in hopes of finding food/ "photoshoot" for Faiz..

If you tell me she's a witch from Harry's world, I'd believe you...

"Eh macam comel jer"

I'd like to call this the "No, I'm not sharing my Subway cookies with you" - which apparently Faiz was clueless about how delicious the cookies were. I can't believe it... Subway cookies are like the best in the world (setaraf with Famous Amos) to me!

I don't remember being angry at someone through text while on this trip, so this is what I mean by resting bitch face guys! I just look angry, but I assure you, no one was "dying" on the other side of the line...

Cute little English finds like this makes my imagination go wild about what could possibly went down centuries ago right here at this place... I guess that's what happens when you watch too much period dramas.

Much better less horrendous nails, ahhhhh #legaaaa

So in Malaysia, my favourite Italian place (Antonio's) has this dish called mozarella e carozza or someting like that, its basically breaded friend mozarella wit spicy tomato sauce. It's soooo good!

So when we decided to dine at Bella Italia (I think that's the name?) and I saw the same dish, I thought it'll be as good - but no they served it with what appears to be thai sweet chilli sauce -__- But boleh lah, #beggarscantbechoosers

Zoe joined us for "lunch" after she was done at the salon and this was the picture I took to send to my mum when she asked me what I was doing #clingy

After our late lunch/ early dinner, we decided that we wanna go watch a movie (The Greatest Showman). As we discovered that we had quite sometime before the movie, we decided to explore Brighton a bit more. Found such cute little stores around the city (one of it was a store to customise your own perfume and I swear, if I had time and less people - I don't like to have an "entourage" when I'm shopping - I'd spend like an hour probably creating my own perfume).

The Greatest Showman was a great show - Zoe cried, the movie touched my heart but guys, I watch Hindi/ Bollywood movies, English movies ain't got nothing on my heart man! Also, for the record, I still can't stand salted popcorn..

We went to pack dinner after the movie from this other Japanese restaurant that we wanted to order from the night before. To my surprise the restaurant actually had halal dishes (I decided to ask cause I saw a couple of Arab guys buying some chicken dish) so I was very happy to get to eat meat - deprived!

We got home, had our dinner & oranges (I swear we were obsessed!) and packed to leave for London the next morning.

One of my favourite pictures from this trip of the both of us - so much loveeeeeee *squish*

The next morning we took another early train (8am guys!!) to London - but as usual, the good thing about early anything is I get to have my usual mozarella & tomato croissant thingy from Pret hehe. Again I shared my food with Faiz and he had another foodie epiphany..

Throughout the 2 hours (?) train journey to London, we got pretty restless - I didn't have a book! (At times like this I'm really tempted to get a Kindle..), and well Zoe's attention span is as bad as mine and Faiz can't multitask.. So yeah, we took turn annoying one another with ridiculous instastories and etc.

I believe this was the photo Zoe had to take to send to her Dad lol

Upon reaching London, we made our way to drop off my luggage and then off we went to Selfridges as I had to get something (can't remember what now) and Faiz wanted to pick up his t-shirt. We also made a pitstop at Primark where I found a new Slytherin sweater & Hogwarts clutch that I didn't see the other day (never shop in a rush guys!!).

We then made our way to Harvey Nichols at Knightsbridge (I love going to B&L here as there's never a queue) to have Burger & Lobster #finallyyyyyyy.

Stolen from Faiz's Instastory - find, this one I give him credit for a good shot

COME TO MAMAAAAA! *insert drool face emoji*

We decided to make our way to Covent Garden cause Zoe wanted to check out The Ordinary store and I had to check something for Yasmin. But before that, we made a quick survey to the ZARA at Knightsbridge to check out Anis' shoes, but to no avail, and also Harrods to check out some Huda Beauty stuff and I got myself two liquid lipstick - which now I discover that Huda products has a smell and I prefer my lipsticks not scented whatsoever (facepalm) - so if anyone wants it, holla!

After Covent Garden - Zoe got her stuff but unfortunately Min's stuff was out of stock, we decided to get a drink (Zoe & her juice..) at Wondermama while I played with my purchases that day.

After that Zoe decided that she needed to make her way to Brighton for her to drive back to Hastings, so she left me :'( But we've been doing this two years in running where we say bye to each other for like a month(?) and then see each other again (cause she was coming back for CNY in Feb) so it didn't feel that sad..

Faiz then teman-ed me to go pick up my mother's Kindles (yes multiple... business continuity plan!) from one of the Amazon Lockers at Paddinton Library before meeting Megat for dinner at Khan's.
I had to play the "tradition" card to drag him out to Central London on a Sunday as I had to collect a parcel from him to bring home to KL, but I know deep down he was glad to see me cause well, it's me...

I made record as I was only 3 minutes late from the promised time.. He actually called me at 7PM asking where am I and for once I could answer him "I'll be there in 5" hehehe.

The next day, as I had some time before I had to meet Cindy (Dee) for lunch, I decided to do some super last minute shopping. Amongst places that I went was ZARA in search for Anis' shoes #lastkopek. I actually saw the shoes in ZARA Oxford Street (hidden at one of the shelves) but again they were in the ridiculous size 40 -.- This time I got smart and asked them to check if there are any stores in London that carried Anis' size and thankfully they told me that they have 1 at the Regent Street's store. I made the quickest dash I've ever made from Oxford Street (depan Selfriges okay!) all the way up to Regent Street by foot guys because they said the system doesn't update so fast so it might not be there anymore and it's the last one. I secured the shoes (THANKKKKKK GOD!!!!) and then made my way back to Oxford Street. As it was a Monday, streets were empty woohoo so shopping was a leisure (^^,)

Met Dee for lunch and decided to head to Tinseltown and I admit - best.milkshake.ever. (#3yearslate)

9 years later, still as silly as ever.

After lunch I got back to pack & then made my way to the airport. Quite sure I took a nap in the taxi to the airport, so knackered man! Once I settled the VAT claims (it took like close to 2 hours jugaklah to settle everything from checking in to VAT claims) I decided to walk around the airport somemore to get some last minute souvenirs (I really can shop anywhere can't I?) and once that was settled I had my early dinner cause I knew there was no way I'd be awake in flight to eat..

Is it my mengada-self or like in UK boleh vegetarian meals are just much nicer hence why I can eat them but in Malaysia I can't? Lol

14 hours flight later.... I was home..
