Home Sweet Home

Okay, hold up, I'm still tired from...

..

......

............

The entire journey; the longer-than-usual 3 hours train ride from Sheffield to London, the whole last minute shopping in London on a Saturday, the almost 2 hours long queue to check-in at Heathrow, the lack of sleep on the 12 hours flight because I didn't get a window seat (I discovered that I can contort my body into 1001 different ways though..), the 30-45 minutes wait for my luggages with a full bladder, the God-knows-how-long-car-ride-from-the-airport-to-my-house-because-I-was-too-tired-to-pay-attention-to-the-clock...

Yeahp, that's right. I'm home, alhamdulillah :)

(Edited)

It all started last Monday/Tuesday probably when I discovered that we no longer have classes for the last 2 weeks of the semester. The 4 of us (Banana, Shrimpy, Surin and I) then patiently waited by our phones to reschedule our flights home.

Seriously, half a day wasted because we were all waiting for Malaysia to wake up and function.

But it was all worth it! Because by the end of the week we were all packed and ready to go (coincidently, the Potato-Banana-Shrimpy trio were supposed to be in London as the second half of Shrimpy's birthday celebration).

My useless travelling companions. Dah lah train tuh delayed and made a few extra stops that resulted into a 3 hours train journey instead of just 2 -.- I spent 2/3 of the journey lip-singing along to a lot of Hindi songs.

We reached London half to midnight (ceh cehh, slang :p In case you all don't know, this is how the Brits tell their time. "Quater past (the hour)" etc) and we were bright up and early the next morning for some last minute shopping.

Before every shopping trip, it is very important to get some "fuel" in your system ladies and gentlemen :)

Ahhh shopping in London on a weekend, I should've known better. It was probably the only time I hate being small with people knocking into you and you getting pushed here and there.. I entered a shop looking very distraught from all the walking up and down Oxford Street/Regent Street that a sales assistant asked me upon me walking in to the store, "Are you okay Madam?". He was an okay looking man but was dressed to the nines, so that made me feel better instantaneously ;)

My favourite quote of the day was "Wanna cab it?", hehehe :D I was very happy that I did not have any Londoners with me (They have some intense disliking towards cabs, I swear).

Left for the airport after dinner and some re-packing and that was the most relaxing 50 minutes car ride I had the entire day. Before I knew it we were already at the airport. And so begins my third round of stress for the day. (Third, but after people and shopping stress it felt like a hundredth..)

I arrived to see the MAS check-in counter queue to be very long.. Almost 2 hours long queue...... All because their system was down. -.- Next to MAS was Qatar's counters and in comparison to the MAS counter, it looked like the entire world was flying MAS -.- This happened at 7PM, and my flight was at 10PM...

One of the times I'm very grateful that I'm small; I get to spend the two hours sitting on my luggage :B Guys, make sure you get luggages that you can seat on (normally hard-shell luggages) okay! The stares I got from people.. *peace*

Dashed my way through security checks and I had about an hour left to kill before boarding.

Out of stress I went into the make-up store and spent £75 on MAC & Bare Minerals products. For those that don't know me, I barely wear make-up.. So spending that much on make-up is sorta like a cry for help.

About 10 minutes before boarding (yes I spent THAT long in a make-up store, God knows what was I looking at..), I decided to return everything I bought.. Hehehe! The sales assistant that attended to me tried her best to make me keep the products but my sanity kicked back in in time. I'm sorry, if I'm not willing to spend £79 on a pair of heels, what makes you think I can live with myself spending a little less of that amount on make up? Loyalties..

Anyways got on the plane and discovered that (this is after I discovered that I did not get my usual window seat) I'm sitting on the same row as a baby... "Guuuuuuuhreat" was my immediate thought. I sat down and curled up and started crying (out of tiredness and stress).. The plane took off and I discovered that there's nobody sitting next to me (ALHAMDULILLAHHHHH! Finally, a break for me!), also the baby was adorable (it crawled it's way to my gold glittery shoes, baby got taste hehe (; ) and she didn't look like a baby that would cry all night long so I felt better. Also because I got food after that. Hehe.

12 hours and 1001 attempted sleeping positions and a tuna lasagne later, MH1 landed in KLIA.

2 hours later I was home and this came on TV.
