She said, ‘I’m so afraid.’ And I said, ‘why?,’ and she said, ‘Because I’m so profoundly happy. Happiness like this is frightening.’ I asked her why and she said, ‘They only let you be this happy if they’re preparing to take something from you'.

Diorelly & Chanela Pt. 2

You've met Diorelly & Chanela.

But you don't know their stories. Basically Diorelly & Chanella are the bimbo names we adopted for ourselves when Zayana & I engage in something so stupid and shallow.

It all began with my obsession with the name "Chanela". I find the name cute, and I'm calling dibs on that name for my future daughter. Siti Chanela, has a certain kind of ring to it no? :p Hehe. Anyways, I admit, the name Chanela comes from Chanel. It started as a joke - I use the name around Zayana just to annoy her - but then it grew on me.

Anyways, when I was looking at the Oh My Chanel/Dior t-shirt, Zayana already pre-warned me that I'm not getting the Chanel one because she will make sure that the shirt will "magically disappears one night and in it's place you'll find at £10 note". .. For some weird reason she refused to say "Aisya can you order the Chanel one for me please".. #masalah

You'd think that this day was the birth of Diorelly & Chanela.. We thought so too. Until we realised, "hang on! This is not the FIRST time we own similar clothes".

It started all the way back to first year..

When we first got the same dress, in the same size because "we live in different parts of the city anyways! when will we ever bump into each other wearing the same thing.."

Funny how both pictures were taken at the same place, different time though :p

Up to date we've lost count how many Chanela & Diorelly moment we've had - our "Plus One" handbags game, when we helped each other committed a crime by taking pictures with items we're not supposed to, when Zayana ran to chase a girl and took a picture of her handbag to send it to me because it was one of my dream bag, when we spent £200 on FV..

But basically, this is us.

She's the angry one, I'm the lovable one ;)

She hoards everything blue, I hoard every other colour.

We can be two peas in a pod, or we can be like day & night.

But one thing for sure, we have the same style: Clean.

And because of that we're both Diorelly & Chanela. Dior and Chanel are famous for their quilted bags aren't they? ;P

Same key style, different designs.

"Aisya! Not only do I have to ask you WHAT BAG you're using when we're going out, now I even have to ask you which TOP you're using.."

Hey! At least you don't have to worry about showing up in the same pair of shoes! << One thing I know will never happen. Phew. She owns a pair of Converse shoes.. I judge her..

Tentacles

Here's the thing about me: I hate trying something new.

I always stick to the things I know. I'm very scared of trying new things. It takes a great amount of adrenaline rush for me to try something out of the ordinary.

Like going rock climbing on my 20th birthday. My drive was "I'm 20! It's time for me to face my fear of heights!". Did it cure my fear of heights? Nope. Get me on the 2nd or 3rd floor of KLCC and you'd see me edging away from the side railings because I seriously get sick if I see how high above the ground I'm at. But it was great fun though.

Or maybe just a great amount of being bored of the same thing.

Like my decision to chop almost half of my hair length last summer. "If I have to live with this hair for ONE MORE DAY.....". Seriously, I had the same hair style for at least 9 months, anything "drastic" that I did to my hair within that 9 months was to get it trimmed or get a slight fringe..

So last Sunday, during lunch (for Ashley, it was brunch for me), I decided to try something new.

You see, within the last month without a fail, we'd have Japanese every Sunday.

And here's the thing, in any Japanese restaurant that I go to, whether it's in Malaysia or in UK my order is always the same: Inari, ebi nigiri and one of the following: salmon teriyaki, or tempura, or spicy fried squid, or chicken/prawn katsu kare/curry depending on which restaurant I'm at. But that's all I order from a Japanese restaurant.

I decided to be adventurous a bit so I ordered the seafood yaki soba in teriyaki sauce. It said fried noodles so I was thinking "Japanese version of mee mamak with seafood".

Instead this was what I got:

Some watery, rotten fish smelling noodle filled with squid tentacles.

YUCK.

If there's one thing I hate more than durian, it's squid tentacles. Ask me to choose between those two, I'd probably rather give you money just to get out of eating any of them. Okay maybe if I really have to choose as if my life or the people I love lives depend on it - durian. Any day.

YUCK.

Even if I take out all the tentacles (which is what I did, see those extra tentacles in the small blue plate?), there was still the smell.

Here's how I'd describe a smell: Imagine yourself walking at the seafood section in the market, not supermarket, proper wet market. Mhmmm. THAT smell. Would you wanna eat you food when it smells like that?

I still gave it the benefit of the doubt. "You know whaaaat, maybe when you put it in you won't even notice the smell anymore". Btw, pinching your nose while eating using a chopstick is not an easy task. Try it. Anyways, guess what? Once you put it in your mouth, you TASTE the smell.. It was like eating raw seafood and its water with noodles.

*shudders*

I decided not to touch the yaki soba anymore (I really did try, really!) but I felt bad having to return it to the kitchen with it looking so untouched.. so I hid some parts of it.

Behind the wine menu. Hehehehe.

"This is what happens when I decide to try something out of my comfort zone - the universe decides to punish me for it". I really do think so.

Marriage Isn't For You

"I’m going to make this really simple: marriage isn’t for you.
You don’t marry to make yourself happy, you marry to make someone else happy. More than that, your marriage isn’t for yourself, you’re marrying for a family. Not just for the in-laws and all of that nonsense, but for your future children. Who do you want to help you raise them? Who do you want to influence them? Marriage isn’t for you. It’s not about you. Marriage is about the person you married"

...

To all who are reading this article—married, almost married, single, or even the sworn bachelor or bachelorette—I want you to know that marriage isn’t for you. No true relationship of love is for you. Love is about the person you love.

Marriage Isn't For You - Seth Adam Smith.

All Hallows' Eve

Let me tell you a story of what happened one All Hallows' Eve,
There was an innocent little Hawaiian girl, named Lilo, with her pet alien dog, Stitch

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Lilo makes wishes/prayers every night before her sleep.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

So one day an Angel came down to visit Lilo,

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

to help her at her time of need.

Someway somehow, with the miracle of All Hallow's Eve I guess, Blair Waldorf was in the same room,

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAShe was not amused with her flight getting delayed.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Especially when she saw a picture of waffles on her Instagram. - Mana nak dapat waffles at 11PM?!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe Angel tried to cheer her up by asking her "Do you wanna know a secret?". How can Blair say no to a secret!

"What is it?! :D Tell me!"

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA"You weren't blessed with a beautiful butt, like mine" ....

Blair was not impressed by this Angel.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERANobody messes with Blair Waldorf and gets away with it.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERALilo taught Blair how to booty-tooch and well she was a happy camper again.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe Angel however was not.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

She insisted on going back Up,

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAHowever Lilo stopped her.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERABlair and the Angel made amends, after the Angel gave Blair a book on scheming. - Nobody does it better than the Angel I suppose.. She WAS a Devil previously. She schemed her way Up.

Blair was all ready to return back to Upper East Side and make use of her new book,

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

But Lilo thought she should give Blair a friend to remember her by..

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERABlair was again, not impressed.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERABlair gave back her "new friend" to Lilo, but apparently even Lilo is disgusted by that, thing.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERASo the Angel decided to take it with her instead.. Weirdo.

Before flying off, Lilo thought Blair how to say goodbye in Hawaii,

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

You fist bump,OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Lock it  OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAnd explode!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Blair found this very amusing.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAShe hugged Lilo and thanked her for the new found wisdom.

After pissing off the Angel for the last time by putting Miley Cyrus on the laptop screen,

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAand got into a fight with the Angel yet again,

Blair made it back to Manhattan.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Only to find out that S is back! :O

Dum dum dummmmmmm! & So began 6 season of Gossip Girl.

Back in Hawaii,

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

the Angel and Lilo boobie touched & became an inseparable duo. All was well in Lilo's world after that.

This post is dedicated to my hairdryer that almost died in the process of getting ready for Halloween.

Let me tell you something, if you decided to "iron" your shirt using a hairdryer and its nozzle, please make sure there's proper ventilation for the hairdryer.

Or you'd be hugging your hairdryer in hopes that it'll come back to life - because you saw Vivy Yusof's Instagram post about a mother hugging her baby back to life.

Hehehehe!

But before you people think I'm an airhead bimbo, I figured out how to make the hair dryer work like a steam iron okay! You wet the shirt and then "blow dry" it! :D

You know you love me. Bimbo and all :p

And look at the shirt. All smoothed out. I'm a genius!
