I grew up reading the Harry Potter series. For as long as I remember, I've always wanted to be in Slytherin (while everyone else I knew wanted to be in Gryffindor #hipsterAisya). Now, was Draco Malfoy/ Tom Felton a big reason why I want to be a Slytherin? HELL YES. Also because Slytherin just seem much cooler than Gryffindors.
When Pottermore came out, I like many other Potter fans got Sorted. To my surprise, I was placed in Gryffindor - which part of me screams bravery?! I can't even watch scary movies and then sleep with the lights on...
Despite what Pottermore said, I still want to be in Slytherin and even bought myself a badge and a scarf when I visited the studios in London a year ago. #Gryffindormurtad
And then I heard that they updated their Sorting Hat system and I decided to get Sorted again..
I AM FINALLY ACCEPTED INTO SLYTHERIN!!!!!
Why its cool to be a Slytherin (taken from Pottermore):

- "We also get respect from our fellow students. Yes, some of that respect might be tinged with fear, because of our Dark reputation, but you know what? It can be fun, having a reputation for walking on the wild side."

Also I like the mysteriousness that comes along with the Slytherin tittle. It's not always "good" you know with Slytherins. With Gryffindors, you know they're just amazingly awesome people who are brave and noble. They are like a gold trophy, so bright and shiny. Whereas to me, a Slytherin can either be pure evil (i.e Voldemort) or simply misunderstood good people (i.e Snape) - they're like coals you know, they can either just be something that dirties your hand or end up being a diamond.. I feel like I identify with this mysterious/ complicated Slytherin more than being a straight as an arrow Gryffindor.
