The Candidate

Honestly, I don't think anyone is aware of just howsuper grateful I am that I'm employed even before I graduated. The contract EY proposed to me was what I'd say an unconditional offer. I've always wanted an unconditional offer from a Uni, but my A-Levels grades weren't out-of-this-world-uhmazing. Tbf, I was quite bummed I didn't get a single unconditional offer back then.. :( So yeah, very alhamdulillah that instead my unconditional offer was for my first job instead. #Godisthebestplanner

I never realised how truly lucky I am until I started listening to my friends and their job searching stories. It's true, sometimes you really fail to appreciate what you have. Astaghfirullahalazim.

I don't think I've ever shared my experience with job hunting.. Because a lot of my friends were asking me about it! "How was it for you?" "Which jobs should I apply for?" "How do I know what job do I want? "How long did it take them to get back to you?" "They got back to me, but it's not for the job I wanted" and so on..

So this weekend I'll be sharing with you my story okay? :)

For now, I'm going to give you guys this link here that might help with your CV preparation if you're starting to look for jobs.

A snippet:

"Your CV's first page is prime real estate. Therefore any personal information should be confined to 10% to 15% of the first page - everything else should be dedicated to information THAT IS GOING TO GET YOU HIRED. Once they're interested in you, they will look for your contact details (and please don't be the candidate that forgets to put in their contact details!). "

Well guess what guys?

I was THAT candidate.. x)

Hidden Mickey

Today as I was doing my daily Insta feed scroll, I found this:

Source: The Triangl swimswear's Insta

I swear they not only produce crazy expensive but beautiful bikinis, they also feed beautiful beach holiday pictures so that you'll think you need a beach holiday and a new bikini.. Especially when you're at work during your quick lunch break, you just wanna pack your bags and go! Good marketing people, well done!

Then... I saw something.

Actually this thing was the first thing I noticed when I looked at the picture lah (tbh after like 5-10 beach holiday photos on your Insta feed, you kind get immune to it.. #spammingisneveragoodmarketingstrategy). It totally reminded me of our childhood game.. Which game?

SPOT THE HIDDEN MICKEY!

Come on, I'm sure you guys got excited when the game appeared on Disney Channel during commercial breaks. Especially if you've watched it before and your friend/siblings has not, so you can pretend like you have super sharp eyes..

(Btw, did you know there's Mickey, Donald and Goofy in Little Mermaid, under the sea?)

Didchu spot the hidden Mickey yet?

And I immediately took this as a sign..

The universe is speaking to me..

As of today, 9 weeks til my holiday! :D

You guys surely have a hint of what's going on by now right?

Jyeahp, for two years in a row, I'm heading to Disneyland! InsyAllah in March I'll be going for my own self-funded holiday. One of those things that I am super thankful for in 2014 and a good highlight for the start of 2015.

London-Paris, here I come! :D

(Obviously paying for this = not able to buy myself a Lady Dior by 17 September 2015, but it is okay, my handbags now are all underuse anyways, let's not create more competition for it)

Celery is not as nice as salary

Guys! I finished 67% of those juices!

Okay.. 66.7...

Fine.... 66.67......

Ish 4 out of 6 lah okay!

Still more than 50%!!! Which is more than what I expected!

Conclusion?

Celery is not as nice as salary.

And the root of all evil most probably taste like beetroot.

Yuck.

BUUUUUT I feel much livelier today! I didn't wake up wanting to cry eventhough it was Monday and I know I have a few meeting scheduled. Don't know whether it's because of the juices effect or the fact that I slept rather early (before 12AM) yesterday.. But TBF I sleep before 12 or around 12 almost every weekday. On top of that I spent the entire Sunday cleaning and re-arranging my room so if its anything, I should be even more lethargic!

So I'd definitely go again for the Carrot + Orange juice, the PAM, the veggie juice with the word "Tropical" in its name :)

You know how they say if you consume too much carrots you'll turn orange? It's not true... riiiiight?

Veggie

As promised, I'll share my 2015 resolution this weekend.

Let's just jump straight to it:

I've decided that this year will be the year I start putting vegetables in my digestive system!

Why you ask?

You see, I'm always so bloody tired these days, it's insane! I am only 22 as much as I like to pretend that I'm "old". So one day whiny ol' me was well, whining (duh) about how I'm always tired to my mother. She told me it's because I don't eat veggie so I'm malnourished. Suddenly my mother is a dietician guys! Lol

Following that, I was really determined to start eating salad (for one day, actually one meal during that one day lol). I really tried, but my throat just won't corporate! My brain was already accepting the fact that veggies/salad do look appetising, but my throat, na'uh you ain't making me swallow that hunneyh

Brainy-Me then thought the next best thing was juices! Since they're all squashed and chewing is not necessary, I thought this would work. (At one point I even considered giving myself vegetables shots as in injections, if such thing exists)

I bought six bottles from La Juiceria, one mylk, one beetroot (is beetroot a vegetable? or is it a fruit?), two vegetable juices and two fruit juices. I gulped the Chocolate Almond mylk during one of my late nights (seriously, susah ada boyfriend who is like 13 hours behind you okay!) and then another fruit juice this morning as "breakfast" (as if such term exists for me on weekends) and my first veggie juice after dinner. So far, I must say, it's not as bad as I expected it to be.

I DIDN'T MAKE WEIRD FACES AS I DRINK IT!

Unlike that time when I drank "what evil tastes like" a.k.a lemon, orange and lime juice.

So yes, guys, if you're like me who hates veggie but feel guilty about not consuming it, give vegetable drink a try okay! I recommend it!

xx,
A.

2015

I swear there's just something about work these days that's seriously draining out my energy.

Or maybe it's just me turning 23... sigh

Anyways! It's 2015!

Happy New Year to those reading this currently!

How did you guys spend your New Year and New Year Eve?

My NY and NYE was pretty, uneventful. Lol.

I got home from work yesterday close to 8.30PM and after dinner with Mummy, I ended up watching Fast & Furious 6 with Daddy. While watching we were arguing whether did Paul Walker passed away while shooting FF6 or FF7. Once I was done with the movie (still wasn't too happy how the Asian dude, can't remember his name, lost his girlfriend/fiance) I went to bug Mummy in her room.

While checking my phone, my cousin told me there's a Shah Rukh Khan movie on TV. Apa lagi... LARIIIIIIII to steal the TV remote from Daddy and pressed "info" button. Unfortunately Daddy was watching a Liverpool game (-__________-"") so I couldn't watch my Shah Rukh Khan. But sokay, what are laptops for right? :p

20 minutes prior to the New Year, I was on the phone with barely awake Zawir.. "Don't you wanna talk to me for the last time in 2014?!" #boyfriendkenapaksatowakeup. The moment I told him "SAYANG! It's 2015, happy new year!" he wished me "Happy New Year" and asked if he can sleep now. Hahaha!

I then continued to watch DDLJ until I fell asleep.

Woke up at 10AM on NYD. God knows what I was doing but by lunch time I was asleep all the way til 6PM.. See what I mean by my energy level getting drained out?!

So!

New Year's Resolution:

Come back this weekend ;)
